Sedans & SUVs
All Singapore
obsidienneom began when its founders recognised a consistent gap in the Singapore transport market: a segment of travellers and professionals who needed something between ride-hailing apps and full-time personal drivers. People who valued punctuality, discretion, and a well-maintained vehicle — but whose schedules didn't always justify a long-term arrangement.
The name comes from obsidian — a naturally formed volcanic glass, known for its smooth surface, its uniform composition, and the way it holds its edge. It seemed an appropriate reference for a service built on consistency rather than spectacle.
Operating from offices at 6 Battery Road in the CBD, the team handles bookings, logistics, and driver assignments directly. There are no subcontractors, no third-party dispatch networks, and no automated allocation systems. Every booking is handled by a person who knows the fleet and the drivers by name.
The services are deliberately few: a single transfer, a weekly business lease, and a coordinated fleet for formal events. This focus allows the team to maintain clear standards across all three without overextending.
What guides the work
Precision over volume
obsidienneom handles a measured number of bookings at any given time. This is a deliberate choice — it protects the standard of each assignment rather than maximising throughput.
Discretion as a default
Client information, itineraries, and travel patterns are treated with care. Drivers do not discuss passengers, and internal records are kept to what is operationally necessary.
Accountability without excuses
When something does not go to plan, the response is direct communication and a practical solution — not deflection. The team takes ownership of what it has agreed to deliver.
People behind the service
Daniel Cheng
Founder & Operations Director
Daniel oversees fleet management and driver assignments. With over twelve years in the ground transport sector across Singapore and the region, he set the operational standards that the company continues to work by.
Sarah Tan
Client Services Manager
Sarah manages client communications, booking logistics, and the concierge line for weekly lease clients. She is the primary contact for event coordination and corporate accounts.
Ravi Muthu
Fleet & Compliance Lead
Ravi manages the vehicle maintenance schedule and ensures all fleet assets meet LTA requirements and internal presentation standards before each assignment.
How the standard is maintained
Driver Qualification
All drivers hold valid vocational licences under LTA regulations. Each driver completes an internal onboarding process covering route knowledge, client interaction protocols, and vehicle care standards before their first assignment.
Fleet Inspection Schedule
Vehicles are inspected before and after each assignment. Deep cleaning occurs between every booking, and scheduled servicing follows the manufacturer's intervals without exception. Any vehicle that fails inspection is withdrawn until cleared.
Data Privacy Practices
Client contact details and trip records are retained only for operational purposes and not shared with third parties. The company follows PDPA guidelines, and clients may request deletion of their records at any time.
Insurance Coverage
All vehicles in active service carry comprehensive motor insurance that includes passenger liability. Weekly lease clients receive a summary of coverage at the time of booking.
Operational Response
The operations line is staffed during all active booking hours. For weekly lease clients, a dedicated concierge number is available throughout the lease period for route changes, vehicle queries, and unplanned requirements.
Transparent Terms
Pricing is confirmed before confirmation. There are no hidden surcharges for standard routes. Any additional costs — such as weekend extensions or extra stops — are communicated and agreed upon before they are applied.
Chauffeured transport in Singapore's CBD
obsidienneom operates primarily within the Central Business District and Changi Airport corridors — two of Singapore's most time-sensitive travel contexts. The team's familiarity with CBD traffic patterns, carpark access protocols, and Changi's terminal procedures has been built over nearly a decade of consistent operation.
For professionals visiting Singapore on short-term engagements, the Weekly Business Lease offers a structured solution: one vehicle, one driver when preferred, and a consistent point of contact throughout the working week. For organisations with event logistics requirements, the Gala Night Fleet model provides a coordinated approach to guest arrivals and departures that reduces the operational burden on event staff.
The Point-to-Point Transfer service serves individuals and business travellers who need reliable, on-time collection — particularly at Changi, where flight monitoring is included as a standard part of the service. Drivers adjust for delays and gate changes without requiring the client to make contact.
obsidienneom's approach to chauffeured transport in Singapore reflects the city's own character: measured, efficient, and attentive to the detail that makes a difference in practice.
